’’The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.” (James 5:16-18 NKJV).

Do not underestimate your ability to bring a change to the nation of Kenya. Perhaps you think that you need to have so, so much faith in order to be heard. Jesus said even if you had faith as little as a mustard seed, you could say to a mountain, “move”, and the mountain would move. In case you have been feeling far from God, all you need to do is go before Him in confession and repentance and lay the matter before Him and then proceed to intercede for the land. He promises in 1 John 1:8-9 that if we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive them and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. When it strikes midnight, the new day will be here. Let us call on God. Let us pray for rain, just enough for our good, and let’s pray against destructive flooding. Let’s pray strategically that God will dig up all the roots of filth in our country and send the corrupt men and women who have taken this land captive through corruption out of office; for the healing of our economy; for an end to religious deception, false prophets and teachers, for a return to godly values, truth and honesty everywhere. If you know any institution or individual that is corrupt and you have evidence, if you know anyone who has been exploiting the poor etc, let us pray for their change or immediate removal from office. Kenya will not be the same again. As we pray for others, let us pray that we become the agents of the change we want. Let us pray for rain immediately. He is faithful. Let the world know once more that He answers prayer in accordance to His Word. Where two or three are gathered in His name, there is He in their midst. I have a feeling that even just tonight there will be more than two or three of us. Let’s do it. Again here is one more Scripture to bear in mind:

“When I shut up heavens and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:13-14 NKJV).
